FILTAIR® SWX-D Single-Arm Package 951513, 7 ft. Standard Fume Extraction Arm
Welding is not only a demanding profession, it’s also one with a unique set of hazards. One of the greatest hazards lies in the fumes produced by welding. In addition to deadly carbon monoxide, there’s a toxic cocktail of micron-sized oxide particulates that can enter your body through your nose or mouth and cause health issues ranging from “metal fever” to cancer. If you weld indoors, you absolutely need a good fume extraction system.
The Miller FILTAIR SWX-D package is an ideal solution for fabrication shops, industrial manufacturing, and vocational training schools. Miller’s FILTAIR system is among the most innovative in the industry, with easy-to-operate extraction arms, the most powerful blowers in their class, and industry-leading filters that out-filter, outperform, and outlast the filters used by competing systems. This package includes a 7-foot telescoping extraction arm and a disposable filter cabinet. You can add on a second extraction arm of the same size or a 3’ to 4.5’ telescoping arm, a 10’ arm or a 12’ arm to customize the system to your workspace.

Easy-to-Operate Standard Arm
External adjustments let air pass through with less airflow resistance for a stronger CFM (airflow). Reliable and accurate positioning across the full range of motion of the arm, as well as easy adjustment and maintenance for long-lasting operation. Pre-assembled extraction arms available in 7, 10, or 12-foot lengths, or a telescoping 3' to 4.5' arm.
Durable Bellmouth-Shaped Hood
Features a convenient 360-degree rotation for unlimited positioning. The FILTAIR® extraction hood captures weld fumes at a greater distance from the source than other hood designs. Fewer hood adjustments means more time for working on welds.
Miller® FilTek® XL Filter Technology
FilTek XL filter technology is specifically designed to capture the micron-sized particulates in welding fumes. This technology offers a longer filter life - up to 2 times that of treated cellulous filters - and up to 95% filtering of weld fume particulate. FilTek XL's surface loading filters provide easier and more complete filter cleaning results, longer filter life, and more efficient airflow through the filter than the depth filters of other systems, plus lower operating costs and stronger suction power.
MERV 15 Filter Rating
Filters are rated on a MERV scale, which measures filter efficiency based on particle count. MERV ratings range from 1-16, with 16 being the best at filtering small particles such as those found in weld fumes.
Disposable Filter Model
The disposable filter model works great for light-duty and intermittent welding operations.
Class-Leading Suction Power
A high-performance fan generates 1,200 cfm and creates an Accu-Rated minimum of 875 cfm extraction at the hood to better capture weld fumes and provide a cleaner environment.
