Manufacturer Reviews
Love this new helmet. From the new lens features to the comfort of this suspension. It is by far the best hood ive ever worn. And since i wear it all day everyday it is well worth buying. Ready for Miller to create some cool shells for this but I love the departed scheme i purchased. Buy one. You wont be sorry if youre a serious welder.
I have been using the Infinty series for a little over a month now. Prior to buying this hood I owned a Digital Elite as well as a Jackson Truesight. After wearing the digital elite for a couple years I had to retire it after a 100' fall (6months later). I tried the truesight after and was so disappointed i actually went back to old faithful(passive). Then the Infinity was released. Naturally being a miller fan already I had to try this hood. Miller accomplished a feat that i did not believe was possible, they improved on the design of the Digital Elite. I am a pipe welder by trade, but I am also expected to perform almost any welding application thrown at me. The Infinity has been incredible all around. The biggest improvement in my opinion is the balance of this hood. i am required to wear a hard hat for 99% of my welding. The digital elite was a bit face heavy which made it uncomfortable and caused me neck pain. The design of the Infinty paired with the adjustments on the hardhat adapter make it seem like im not wearing the hood at all. It seems to be much "roomier" under the hood when welding and not front heavy at all. I love the color of the viewing area as well as the size. Seeing your work is never an issue. Xmode is great for not only outdoors but position welding pipe as well. Sometimes i end up in spots where sensors are blocked enough to not work. Xmode solved this problem. I wear my hood between 10 and 12 hrs a day on a hard hat. If you are in the market for a welding hood, buy this one. Miller just keeps getting better and better.
