Nozzles and electrodes typically wear out the quickest, which makes sense because they are directly responsible for creating the cutting arc. If the quality of your cut seems to be deteriorating, the nozzle may be nearing the end of its useful life. As you cut, the tip of your torch will eventually develop a pit in the hole of the nozzle, making your cuts less precise. It’s a good idea to replace the tip when the pit is about 1-1.6mm across.
Swirl rings, retaining caps, and shield caps wear less quickly, but it is smart to periodically check them for cracks or other imperfections and replace them if necessary.
