The Hypertherm Retaining Cap #220483 from Welder Supply is an extremely durable, long-lasting retaining cap exceeding industry requirements. Don’t jeopardize your Powermax Plasma Cutter by using knock-off spares. A retaining cap for a plasma cutter keeps the swirl ring and nozzle in the proper position. It controls the flow of coolant to the outside of the nozzle.
The Hypertherm Retaining Cap’s front composite piece enables you to install the shield concentric onto the nozzle orifice. The nozzle then steers secondary gas to the shield. If the retaining cap doesn’t work, neither can you!
