Product Questions and Answers

Q - Why do electrodes need to be ground? A - It makes for easier arc starting, reduces tungsten shedding, increases the service life of electrodes, and helps make welds more consistent.
Q - What's the difference between this and the TS5-230? A - The T310 has a more powerful motor.

How to Change the Grinding Wheel:

  1. Unplug.

    Remove the plug from the electrical socket before doing any maintenance.

  2. Remove Grinder Housing.

    Locate and remove the three small set screws in grinder housing. Then, remove grinder housing.

  3. Remove Nuts.

    Remove a #17 wrench on the collet nut and #10 wrench on the wheel retaining nut(left hand thread).

  4. Remove and Replace Wheel.

    Remove and replace grinding wheel. Need to remove and reset washer in this process.

  5. Replace Nuts.

    Replace nuts in the the reverse order and make sure all nuts are tightened and the wheel is level.

  6. Replace Grinder Housing.

    Replace grinder housing. Do not force it, gently slide it on. Your new grinder wheel is ready to use.
